Preparing Children for School Success, Leadership and Life.

Message from Our Director

Welcome to One City Early Learning Centers!

I am so excited that you are considering us for your child’s early childhood education.  We are committed to providing a comfortable, caring and nurturing learning environment for young children, and we take our jobs seriously!

By making One City your school home, your child will grow to love their teacher, classmates and our school, and will come home talking about all the wonderful things they did and learned throughout their day.  Our program offers a wide variety of learning experiences and a safe place for your child to explore, play, dream and have fun. You will recognize positive growth in their social skills, behavior, vocabulary, language usage and comprehension, and desire and eagerness to read, be read to, try new things, think creatively and learn.

Not only do we nurture and facilitate children’s growth, development and learning, we are also dedicated to partnering with and serving their parents as well. We will do whatever we can to assist parents with identifying and achieving their personal and professional goals, and the goals of their family. Working together facilitates and promotes success among our children, our families, our school and our community.

During your time at One City Early Learning Centers, we pledge to work with you and your child to ensure they have a high quality and beneficial learning experience.

We also recognize your role as your child’s first teacher and want to do what we can to work along side you to prepare your child for the future, and to have a positive impact on their learning. We invite you to join your child’s teachers in a partnership that will support your child’s success at One City and at home. We also invite you to join us in a commitment to share in and contribute to your child’s learning experience through the One City FAST Program Partnership and One City’s Institute for Early Learning. Every One City parent will be expected to participate in six 90-minute workshops and seminars during each year that your child is enrolled in One City.  A variety of interesting and valuable topics will be covered through our Institute.

It is truly an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to give back to a community that helped nurture and prepare me for the future.  I look forward to the important role One City will play in partnering with you and the broader community to ensure that your child is reading-ready and eager to learn by kindergarten, and on pace to succeed at grade level in reading and math when they begin their K12 journey.

Thank you,

Marlo Mielke
